The Mary Seacole House- Bringing people together

The Mary Seacole House is a mental health charity in Liverpool, where I have been volunteering since June 2023. During my time with them, I have created footage that showcases the excellent work they do within the community and produced a short documentary.

Nima Javan

This documentary features Nima Javan, an artist originally from Iran who now resides in Liverpool. In the documentary, Nima discusses his artwork and the stories behind his paintings. Much of his work focuses on creatures and animals identified in a new world, exploring themes related to life and human resilience.

Dominic Hinchliffe

Dominic Hinchliffe is a Liverpool-based artist who produces paintings, ceramics, and sculptures inspired by dance and movement. In this documentary Dominic talks about his journey as an artist.

Diversity in Mental Health

This documentary is the first one I produced as part of my final project studying journalism at LJMU. It also marked my initial involvement with the Mary Seacole House. The story highlights the need for more representation in mental health services for people from diverse communities.
